TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 1991
THE CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL CONVENED IN A REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING
ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 1991 AT THE CIBOLO MUNICIPAL BUILDING, 109
SOUTH MAIN STREET, CIBOLO, TEXAS. THE FOLLOWING WAS THE ORDER OF
BUSINESS:
1. CALL TO ORDER.
Mayor Sam Bauder called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
2. ROLL CALL.
All members of the council were preent. Staff present: David
Walker & Ann Smith.
3. INVOCATION.
Councilmember Tex Farnsworth gave the invocation.
4. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE.
Mayor Bauder lead the group in pledge.
5. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD.
No citizen requested to speak.
6. CONSENSUS ITEMS:
A. MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING, SEPT. 24, 1991.
B. CHECK REGISTER THRU SEPT. , 1991.
Tex Farnsworth (Mark Buell seconded) motioned to approve as
presented. With no discussion, all approved. Motion carried.
7. PROCLAMATION DECLARING 94—H WEEK IN CIBOLO " AND PRESENTATION
TO THE CIBOLO VALLEY 4—H CLUB.
Mark Tarrillion of the 'Cibolo Valley 4—H Club read and presented a
proclamation to Mayor Sam Baader. Mayor Bauder signed the
proclamation and then presented a certificate to Helen Tarrillion
and the leaders of the Cibolo Valley 4—H for their outstanding
leadership and community service.
8. NOMINATION AND RESOLUTION SUBMITTING CANDIDATES TO SERVE ON
THE GUADALUPE COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS
FOR A TWO YEAR TERM.
Mayor Bauder opened the floor for nominations. Jeff Miller
nominated Bill Little. Mark Buell nominated Tex Farnsworth.
With no further nominations, Mayor Bauder closed the nominations.
All approved submitting the names of Bill Little and Tex
Farnworth.
9. DISCUSSION/ACTION ON DONATION OF A SOFT VOLLEYBALL COURT
LOCATED IN NIEMIETZ CITY PARK TO THE CITY OF CIBOLO.
Tex Farnsworth (Mark Buell seconded) motioned to accept the
private donation from various members of the C.V.F.D. to
construct a sand volleyball court in the Niemietz City Park. All
approved. Motion carried.
10. COMMENTS BY COUNCIL MEMBERS.
Tex Farnsworth noted that he had attended the Regional EMS
Meeting and discussion centered around the first responder
program. Mr. Farnsworth questioned about replacing the STOP sign
at the Post Office with a YIELD sign.
Jeff Miller briefed the council on the Tattoo at Randolph A.F.B.

11. COMMENTS BY STAFF.
David Walker approached the council on a request from the
Recorder Times Newspaper to place a $35.00 advertisement for the
promotion of Cibolo Fest. It was the consensus to place the ad.
12. COMMENTS BY MAYOR.
Mayor Bauder had no comments.
13. ADJOURNMENT.
Tex Farnsworth ( Bob Glisar seconded) motioned to adjourn at 8:10
p.m. All approved. Motion carried.
