The City Councilman the City Of Cibolo, Texas met in regular session on
the 19th of November 1969 at 7:30 p.m. in the Community meeting room of
the Cibolo State Bank.
Mayor Schlather presided over the meeting and the following Councilmen
were present; Karl Biser, Fred Niemietz, Alwin Lieck, Ted Dykes and
Glenn Rhew. City Marshall EdHigginson was not present.
The minutes of the last regular meeting was read and approved. The minutes
for the special meeting held on the 24th of October,1969 was read and
approved.
The financial statement was given showing a balance of $1,945.54 was approved.
Under old business the United Gas ®ompany asked for an increase.,-Iin the gas
rate. The last increase was noted tob�m 1958. The Gas Company is asking for
an increase which would give them a 73-4 return on their investment.. After
much discussion the City Councilmen agreed to allow the United Gas Company
to. increase the Gas Rate so the company could get a 6% return on their
investment. No vote was taken.
Councilman Glenn Rhew read a letter from Mr. Charlie Strayhorn in regards
to the signal light on the south side of the railroad croas:ing. A study
is to be made. A copy of the letter is to be made and filed for future
reference.
A motion was made by Glenn Rhew and Seconded by Ted Dykes to proceed with
the proposed planzAd. extend our incorporate boundary. A 200 feet wide parcel
of land in the Simon Cockrill Survey No. 77 and the Dorotea Hernandez Survey
No. 76, Guadalupe County, Texas; lying on the northeast and northwest right-
of-way of a public road.
Fred Niemietz made aL motionand it was seconded by Ted Dykes to approve
ordinance #20 which would allow the City of Cibolo to accept the property
of Cha le _Ortfir o, dnd FAped6:�7 =_Orth ", r to be in the extraterritorial
jurisdiction of the City of Cibolo. Passed
Karl Biser made a. motion and it was seconded by Fred Niemietz to approve
ordinance # 21 which would allow the City ,of Cibolo to accept the property
of'Paul Silber Jr. and Phyllis H. Silber to be in the extraterritorial
jurisdiction of the City of Cibolo. Passed.
Alwin Lieck made a motion and it was seconded: Fred Niemietz to approved and
passed Ordinance # 22 if no objections are presented after public notice.
Ordinance # 22 deals with the regulating of the standards of any new
sub-divisions and land developing in the City of Cibolo. Passed
Ted Dykes made a motion and it was seconded by Fred Niemietz to approve
an additidn to Ruben DeloBantos existing garage.h-passed.
Pavement of the streets in certain areas of the City of Cibolo was discussed.
There being no otherrbusiness the meeting adjourned.
