MINUTES
1. Call to Order— Meeting was called to order by Ms. Ashby at 6:41 pm.
2. Roll Call and Excused Absences — Members present: Ms. Ashby, Councilwoman Cunningham, Ms.
Knowlton, and Ms. Wilson. Members Absent: Ms. Pruitt. Councilwoman Cunningham made the
motion to excuse Ms. Pruitt's absence. Motion was seconded by Ms.Knowlton. For: All; Against:
None. Motion carried 4 to 0.
3. Invocation/Moment of Silence — All in attendance observed a moment of silence.
4. Pledge of Allegiance —All in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
5. Citizens to be Heard
This is the only time during the Board Meeting that a citizen can address the Board. It is the
opportunity for visitors and guests to address the Board on any issue to include agenda items. All
visitors wishing to speak must fill out the Sign -In Roster prior to the start of the meeting. The Board
may not debate any non -agenda issue, nor may any action be taken on any non -agenda issue at this
time; however, the Board may present any factual response to items brought up by citizens. (Attorney
General Opinion — JC -0169) (Limit of three minutes each.) All remarks shall be addressed to the
Board as a body. Remarks may also be addressed to any individual member of the Board so long as
the remarks are (i) about matters of local public concern and (ii) not disruptive to the meeting or
threatening to the member or any attendee. Any person violating this policy may be requested to leave
the meeting, but no person may be requested to leave or forced to leave the meeting because of the
viewpoint expressed. This meeting is livestreamed. If anyone would like to make comments on
any matter regarding the City of Cibolo or on an agenda item and have this item read at this
meeting, please email citvsecretarviacibolotx.eov or telephone 210-566-6111 before 5:00 pm the
date of the meeting.
No citizens signed up to be heard.
6. Consent Agenda
A. Approval of the minutes from the January 27, 2025, Animal Shelter Advisory Committee
Meeting.
Ms. Knowlton made the motion to approve the minutes of the January 27, 2025, meeting. Motion
was seconded by Ms. Wilson. For: All; Against: None. Motion carried 4 to 0.
7. Discussion/Action Items
A. Discussion on any updates from Animal Control staff on shelter related items.
Ms. Wilson notified the Board that the Animal Shelter has had no issues and is passing all
inspections. Ms. Wilson stated that they are still interviewing to hire the fourth ACO. There will be
an Open House on May 7 from 4p.m. to 6p.m. to showcase the new office and kennels. $25 adoptions
will be running May 1-15 thanks to the Bissel Foundation. The aluminum can recycling has been
discontinued due to low participation, having trash frequently mixed in, and bees. Janette will look
into starting some PSA's on social media.
8. Items for future agendas —Next meeting should be Monday, July 28.
9. Adiournment— Ms. Knowlton made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:50pm. Councilwoman
Cunningham seconded the motion. For: All; Against: None. Motion carried 4 to 0.
