MAY 26, 1992
THE CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL CONVENED IN A REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING
ON TUESDAY, MAY 26, 1992 AT 7:00 P.M. AT THE CIBOLO MUNICIPAL
BUILDING, 109 SOUTH MAIN STREET, CIBOLO, TEXAS. THE FOLLOWING
WAS THE ORDER OF BUSINESS:
1. CALL TO ORDER.
Mayor Bauder called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
2. ROLL CALL.
Members present: Mayor Sam Bauder, Tex Farnsworth, Jeff Miller,
Mark Buell and Tino Delgado. Claude Smith was absent due to
being hospitalized.
3. INVOCATION.
Councilmember Tex Farnsworth gave the invocation.
4. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE.
Mayor Bauder led those present in the pledge.
5. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD.
None
T 6. CONSENSUS ITEMS:
A. MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING MAY 12, 1992.
Tex Farnsworth (lino Delgado seconded) motioned to approve the
consensus itmes as presented. All approved. Motion carried.
7. APPROVE/DISAPPROVE REQUEST FROM THE CIBOLO LODGE # 147 SONS
OF HERMANN LODGE TO WAIVE RENTAL FEES FOR USE OF NIEMIETZ
CITY PARK.
Jeff Miller (Tex Farnsworth seconded) motioned to approve the
waiver of fees for the city park to the Sons of Hermann Lodge for
their annual picnic. All approved. Motion carried.
8. DISCUSSION/APPOINTMENT OF COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE TO THE MAIN
STREET REVITALIZATION COMMITTEE.
Tex Farnsworth (Tino Delgado seconded) nominated Jeff Miller to
serve as a liasion with the Planning & Zoning Commission on the
Main Streeet Revitalization Committee. With no other
nominations, the council unanimously appointed Jeff Miller.
9. APPROVE/DISAPPROVE REQUEST TO PLACE A MOBILE HOME IN THE
CITY LIMITS BY ED & KELLI BEEZER.
Jeff Miller (Tex Farnsworth seconded) motioned to disapprove a
request from Ed & Kelli Beezer to place a mobile home on property
at 300 FM 78. Vote was unanimous -- request denied.
10. APPROVE/DISAPPROVE REQUEST FOR VARIANCE OF SETBACK
REQUIREMENTS FOR 309, 313 & 317 SCOTCHROSE LANE, THISTLE
CREEK FROM MORTON HOMES.
Tex Farnsworth (Jeff Miller seconded) motioned to approve a
request from Morton Homes to waive the rear setback for 309, 313
& 317 Scotchrose Lane. Voting "Aye" - Miller, Buell, Farnsworth,
Voting "Nay" - Delgado. Vote carried 3-1 .

11 . APPROVE/DISAPPROVE REQUESTING CITY MEMBERSHIP IN THE CANYON
REGIONAL WATER AUTHORITY.
Tex Farnsworth (Mark Buell seconded) motioned to submit
membership application and dues of $500 for an associate
membership to the Canyon Regional Water Authority. All approved.
Motion carried.
12. EXECUTIVES SESSION: THE CITY COUNCIL MAY GO INTO A CLOSED
EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE OPEN
MEETING LAW, ARTICLE 6252.17 V.T.S.C. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
AUTHORITY CONTAINED IN SECTION 2(g) :
A. ACCEPT RESIGNATIN OF WARRANT OFFICER.
The Council waived their right to a closed executive session and
took the following action, with no discussion:
Tex Farnsworth (lino Delgado seconded) motioned to accept the
resignation of Donnie Strickland, warrant officer for the City,
effective May 12, 1992 . All approved. Motion carried.
13. RECONVENE IN OPEN SESSION AND TAKE NECESSARY ACTION.
Council waived executive session in item # 12.
14. COMMENTS BY COUNCIL MEMBERS.
None
15. COMMENTS BY STAFF.
David Walker noted that each council member received a letter on
a public hearing on the Environmental Impact Statement on the
high speed railroad.
16. COMMENTS BY MAYOR:
None
17. ADJOURNMENT.
Tex Farnsworth motioned to adjourn.
