TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 1992
THE CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL CONVENED IN A REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING
ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 1992 AT 7:30 P.M. AT THE CIBOLO
MUNICIPAL BUILDING, 109 SOUTH MAIN STREET, CIBOLO, TEXAS. THE
FOLLOWING WAS THE ORDER OF BUSINESS:
1. CALL TO ORDER.
Mayor Sam Bauder called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.
2. ROLL CALL.
All members were present.
2A. _INVOCATION.
Councilmember Farnsworth gave the inovation.
2B. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE.
Mayor Bauder lead those present in the pledge.
3. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD.
No citizens were present.
4. CONSENSUS ITEMS:
A. MINUTES OF 'PUBLIC NTNG ON SEPTEMBER 8, 1992.
B. MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING, SEPTEMBER 8, 1992.
Council member Tex Farnsworth (Mark Buell seconded) motioned to
approve the consensus items as presented. All approved. Motion
carried.
5. PROCLAMATION & PRESENTATION TO THE CIBOLO 4-H CLUB IN
DECLARING THE WEER OF OCTOBER 3-10, 1992 AS "4-H WEER IN
CIBOLO" .
Mayor Sam Bauder presented members of the Cibolo 4-H Club a
proclamation and thanked them for their community support.
6. ACCEPTANCE OF GIFT TO THE CITY FROM THE VFW POST 2059.
The Council proudly accepted an American Flag from the Judson
Post 2059, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mayor Bauder stated that a
thank you letter would be sent. Council member Farnsworth ask
if the city had a record of who donated the flag pole at city
hall and requested that the staff research it and that a plaque
should be put on it and also a place to post those who donate
the flag (s) being flown.
7. DISCUSSION ON THE USC COMMITTEE FROM CABLE TV FRANCHISE
NEGOTIATIONS WITH PARAGON CABLE COMPANY.
Council member Jeff Miller (lino Delgado seconded) motioned to
open for discussion. Mayor Srinivas, Hollywood Park, requested
that the Council discuss the possibility of joining the "United
Suburban Cities" in hiring a consultant to negotiate cable
contracts. It was the council 's consensus that Cibolo did not
receive enough franchise fees from cable useage to consider such
a venture.

8. COMMENTS BY COUNCIL MEMBERS.
Council member Tex Farnsworth ask if the sewer repair project in
Dobie Heights was completed. Also, Councilmember Farnsworth ask
if progress had been made on the Police Reserves and the search
for a warrant officer. Farnsworth also stated that the 4-way
stop at FM 1103 and Main was working good and solving many
traffic problems.
Council member Mark Buell stated that the Cibolo Fest Committee
had completed the last phase of planning for the October 17th
event and solicited the council help with the different booths
and the 5-K run.
Council member Tino Delgado noted that the "mower" that took
care of the entrance and vacant lots in Thistle Creek were doing
a great job this summer.
9. COMMENTS BY STAFF.
David Walker stated that there was a meeting on the "utility
moves" for the FM 3009 and the Loop 539 project last week and
that another was scheduled for next week.
10. COMMENTS BY MAYOR.
Mayor Baude reminded the Council of the Chamber Mixer and
thanked the Boy Scout from San Antonio for their attendance.
11. ADJOURNMENT.
Council member Farnsworth moved to adjourn. All approved.
