Min CC 06/17/1970 The City Council of the City of Cibolo met at 8pm in the Cibolo State Bank, Mayor Fritz Schlather presiding with all councilman present. The minutes of the' previous ,meeting were read and approved as read. The treasurer's report was presented and approved. The following bills were approved for payment: Legal fee $40.00 (miscellaneous consultations) Legal fee $40.00 (City. Sales .Tax) On a motion made. by Alvin Lieck and seconded by Ted Dykes, Ordinance No. 33 was unanimously passed calling for a Sales,Tax election on July 25, 1970• On a motion made by Clemens Dylla and seconded by Fred Neimitz, the Council authorized Mayor Schlather to negotiate with the City's attorney to obtain a pmoperty ownership map of the City to be used in future zoning. The following requests for building permits were considered: Home Workshop and Tool-Storage Charles J Dorow Granted Home, 1282 SF Mr & Mrs Fowler Granted Jesse Castro is to be issued a summons to appear in court July 11, 1970, for violation of the ordinance -requiring a permit for moving a house into town. In view of the approaching July 4th holiday, it was agreed that Mayor Schlather will request the Schertz=Cibolo News to remind the public of the ordinance prohibiting the shooting of fireworks within the Cibolo City Limits. Fred Neimitz made a motion that the 'City donate $100 to the Parks & Recreation Department for the development of a ballpark. The motion died for lack of a second.. Ted Dykes made a motion, seconded by Alvin Liedk, to donate $50 to the Parks & Recreation Dept. and provide them with a $50 loan if they needed it. Motion passed. Wilton Walker reported for Parks & Recreation: A league has been organized with three teams participating so far. Entry fees are $30 per team. As a result of various donations, a concession stand will be operated by the Dept. A tournament (entry fee $10/team) is planned for later in the season.
