AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREIN AFTER DESCRIBED
TERRITORY INTO THE CITY OF CIBOLO, TEXAS AND EXTENDING THE
BOUNDARY LINES OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SUCH PROPERTY
WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS.
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been heretofore filed by John L. Baxley Jr. and Linda
M. Baxley, being the owners of certain land in the extra -territorial jurisdiction of the City of
Cibolo, Guadalupe County, Texas said land being described in paragraph 1 below, and
WHEREAS, said petition in form and substance, fully complies with all of the provisions of
Section 43.028, Local Government Code, V.A.T.S. and
WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the City of Cibolo, is not more than
one-half mile in width and is vacant and without residents; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that said petition should be granted and that such
tract of land should be annexed to the City; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CIBOLO, TEXAS
1. That the following described property, to wit: Land being a 10.01 acre tract of land located in
the Gustavus Bunson Survey No.72, Guadalupe County, Texas being all of a called 10.000 acre
tract of land described in the deed to John L. Baxley, Jr. and Wife, Linda M. Baxley recorded in
volume 657, Page 590 of the deed reco5rds Guadalupe county, Texas, Said 10.01 acre tract of
land.
BEGINNING at a 3/8 inch iron rod found in the southeast right-of-way (ROW) line of
Weiderstein Road (varying width ROW) same being the west common
comer of a called 17.080 acre tract of land described in the deed.to
Ruben Hernandez as recorded in Volume 873, Page 801 of the Official
Recording Guadalupe County, Texas, (O.R.G.C.TX.) and said called
10.000 acre tract of land for the POINT OF BEGINNNING and the north
corner of the tract described herein;
THENCE leaving said ROW line with the common line of said.called 17.080 &
10.000 acre tract of land S 300 00' 00' E passing a'h inch iron rod found
at a distance of 735.93 feet for the west common comer of said called
17.080 acre tract of land and a called 31.572 acre tract of land described
in the deed to Lon A. Wright, Claudia Wright and Kevin D. Wright as
recorded in Volume 1510, Page 233 of the Official Public Records
Guadalupe County, Texas (O.P.R.G.C.TX.) continuing with the common
line of said called 10.000 & 31.572 acre tracts of land for a total distance
of 1222.91 feet to a 3/8 inch iron rod found for the east common corner
of said called 10.000 & 31.572 acre tract of land, same being an angle
point in the west line of a called 66.628 acre tract of land described in the
deed to Centex Homes as recorded in Volume 1727, Page 113 of the
(O.P.R.G.C.TX.) and being the east corner of the tract described herein;
THENCE with the common line of said called 10.000 & 66.628 acre tract of land S
59° 25' 40" W a distance of 355.23 feet to an "X" in concrete found for
the common comer of said called 10.000 & 66.628 acre tracts of land
and a called 63.325 acre tract of land described in the deed to Centex
Homes as recorded in Volume 1609, Page 724 of the (O.P.R.G.C.TX.)
and being the south comer of the tract described herein;
THENCE with the common line of said called 10.000 & 63.325 acre tracts of land
N 30° 04' 40" W a distance of 1226.43 feet to an `k" in concrete found
for the north common comer of said called 10.000 & 63.325 acre tracts
of land being in said southeast ROW line and being the west corner of
the tract described herein;
THENCE with said ROW line same being the north line of said called 10.000 acre
tract N 59° 59' 45" E a distance of 356.88 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING and containing 10.01 acres of land more of less.
Bearing Basis: Bearings are based on two 3/8 inch iron rods at the north and east comers of a
called 10.000 acre tract of land described in the deed recorded in Volume 657, Page 590 of the
Deed Records of Guadalupe County, Texas. Called bearing and distance between these
monuments is S 30( 00' 00"E a distance of 1223.09 feet. Held called bearing and found actual
distance to be 1222.91 feet.
2. The City Secretary is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this ordinance together with a
copy of said petition with the County Clerk of Guadalupe County, Texas.
3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval.
