ORD 549 11/13/2001ORDINANCE NUMBER -- AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREIN AFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF CIBOLO, TEXAS AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LINES OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SUCH PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS. WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been heretofore filed by City of Cibolo, being the owners of certain land in the extra -territorial jurisdiction of the City of Cibolo, Guadalupe County, Texas said land being described in paragraph 1 below, and WHEREAS, said petition in form and substance, fully complies with all of the provisions of Section 43.028, Local Government Code, V.A.T.S. and WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the City of Cibolo, is not more than one-half mile in width and is vacant and without residents; and WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that said petition should be granted and that such tract of land should be annexed to the City; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CIBOLO, TEXAS 1. That the following described property, to wit: being a 5.010 Acre Tract situated in James Jones Survey, A-194. Guadalupe County, Texas. Said 5.010 Acre Tract is part of a tract called 39.44 acres in conveyance from Paul G. Silber, Jr., et ux, to David G. Van Horn, et ux, recorded in volume 566 at page 885 of the Deed Records of said county and being described by metes and bounds, as follows: BEGINNING: at a''/z inch diameter rebar set marking the south comer of the tract herein described. Said rebar bears, N29048'28" W 12.11 feet (called N 29'50'W) from a %: inch diameter rebar found marking the south comer of sad 39.44 acre tract, the east corner of a tract called 1.1242 acres described in volume 581 at page 38, same being the east comer of the residue of called Second Tract (47 acres) described in volume 385 at page 278. Said rebar found lying in the northwest line County Road No. 376 (aka Green Valley Road), marking the approximate location of the common line of the James Jones Survey, A-194 with the Matthias Lindenburg Survey, A-215; THENCE: with the southwest line of the tract herein described, same being a segment of the common line of said 39.44 acre tract with that of said residue of Second Tract an along said common survey line, as follow: N 29048'28" W 632.89 feet; and N 30040'29" W 283.91 feet (in total called N 29'50'W 645.0 feet and N 30'42'W) to a %z inch diameter rebar set marking the west comer of the tract herein described; THENCE: with the northwest line of the tract herein described, into said 39.44 acre tract, N 59030'24" E 236.30 feet to a %z inch diameter rebar set marking the north comer of the tract herein described; THENCE: with the northeast line of the tract herein described, S 30°29'36" E at 468.10 feet a %z inch diameter rebar set and at 916.76 feet a %z inch diameter rebar set marking the east corner of the tract herein described and lying in the northwest line of widened Green Valley Road; THENCE: with the southeast line o f the tract herein described, S 59°30'24" W 242.87 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING an containing 5.010 acre of land. Basis of bearings is the record bearing along the southwest line of a tract called 29.59 acres described in volume 1113 at page 0001.
