concerning the assignment of permanent zoning to properties annexed into Cibolo south of Lower Seguin
Road in 2010 & 2011 and properties located in Cibolo Valley Ranch Unit 6C & Unit 8 in 2013.
Randy Anderson explained the to the public that the city plans to permanently re -zone properties
annexed into Cibolo south of Lower Seguin Road and properties located in Cibolo Valley Ranch
Unit 6C and Unit 8. Some of the residents were concerned that the change in zoning would
increase their taxes. Staff reassured them that they are free to utilize their property in the same
manner in which they are now and the zoning change would not increase taxes. If the use of the
property changed in the future, taxes could change then. The City of Cibolo is making an
investment in this area of the city by adding water and sewer lines. This would help
future developing in this area. Citizens used this time to ask questions and were informed
that there would be public hearings in April on this subject. They were welcome to
attend those meetings.
5. Adjournment.
Randy Anderson closed the Open House Workshop at 6:15 pm.
